Chesnara PLC (LSE:CSN) has announced the appointment of Gail Tucker as its new non-executive director, effective immediately.
Tucker, who recently retired as a partner among the ‘Big Four’ accountancy firms, brings to the board more than 30 years of experience in the financial services and insurance sector.
“I am delighted to welcome Gail to the board of Chesnara and she brings with her a wealth of reporting expertise including from her time as IFRS17 Global Technical Lead for PwC,” Chesnara chair Luke Savage said.
“We are delighted to have attracted such talent into the group and I look forward to working with Gail as we prosecute our strategy and deliver further value to our policyholders and shareholders.”
As well as having a seat on the Chesnara board, Tucker will be non-executive director of the firm’s UK subsidiary, Countrywide Assured.
She will also join Chesnara’s Audit & Risk Committee and Nomination & Governance Committee.
At the same time, Jane Dale will step down as non-executive director at the company’s upcoming AGM, in May, following nine years with the company.
