Gold & silver

Riversgold unearths rock chips up to 8.99% copper, 41.6 g/t gold and 240 g/t silver at Saint John in Canada

Riversgold Ltd has generated high-grade, multi-element results from a set of rock chip assays at the Saint John Project in Canada, with strong evidence of copper, gold and silver mineralisation.

The company has been targeting a new copper/gold/silver/lead/antimony discovery, sampling limited surface outcrops from a 25-kilometre-long zone of prospective geology.

The rock chip grades from the latest set of 20 samples peaked at 8.99% copper, 42.6 g/t gold and 240 g/t silver.

Results continue to “impress”

“Assays continue to impress and confirm that the Saint John Project in New Brunswick, Canada, where multiple multi-metal targets are being defined over the 25-kilometre strike of the project area, is a significant discovery, in an unexplored area,” Riversgold chair David Lenigas said.

“I look forward to further updates from current site activities and I am very pleased with the great start to 2025.

“Drilling approvals mean we will be looking to drill beneath some of our key outcrops in the coming months and our exploration teams are refining the best targets to drill first.”

Rock chips from the Little Lepreau prospect:

  • 41.6 g/t gold, 26.8 g/t silver; and
  • 1.99 g/t gold, 6.81 g/t silver.

Prince of Wales:

  • 8.99% copper, 42.6 g/t silver;
  • 133 g/t silver;
  • 240 g/t silver; and
  • 140 g/t silver

Hideaway:

  • 1.61% copper, 5.31 g/t silver; and
  • 1.74% copper, 3.38 g/t silver.

RGL expects to receive several more high-grade results in the next stage of fieldwork at Saint John, which sits within a Tier-1 Canadian mining jurisdiction with established infrastructure and project access, with a 101-square-kilometre project area.

The next stage of fieldwork is underway, with several rock chip samples submitted for multi-element assays – results are pending.
