UBS has added its name to the buyer’s list for power utility SSE PLC (LSE:SSE), upgrading its rating from neutral previously.
The Swiss bank has a price target of 1,970p to back up its rating.
SSE shares have tumbled 25% over the past four months as bonds and other no-risk assets have proved more popular, but the mood in the City seems to be that enough punishment has been meted out.
Citi also recently upgraded SSE from 'sell' to 'neutral' on just that basis, though it couldn’t find any good reason to buy the shares.
SSE today was up 1.15% at 1,582p.
