Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA)has launched a higher-priced version of its popular Model Y in the US, Canada, and Europe, after initially releasing it in China. The new long-range all-wheel-drive model costs $59,990 in the US, 25% more than the previous base model, which is priced at $47,990.
The upgraded variant features a refreshed exterior, enhanced interiors, and an extended range of 320 miles (515 km). It also includes Tesla’s supervised full self-driving software, previously an optional $8,000 add-on.
Deliveries of the new model will begin in March. Tesla now offers four Model Y versions in the US, with this one being the most expensive, even surpassing the performance variant. The Model Y was the world’s best-selling car in 2023.
