Shell PLC (LSE:SHEL, NYSE:SHEL) has announced more senior management changes with the head of renewables solutions and a thirty-year company veteran Huibert Vigeveno standing down.
Vigeveno is leaving to pursue other opportunities, said the statement for the oil giant, with Machteld de Haan appointed to the role of Director, Downstream, Renewables and Energy Solutions from 1 April 2025.
Andrew Smith is also being appointed Director, Trading and Supply, with both of the roles a part of Shell’s executive committee.
Wael Sawan, chief executive, said: “I am grateful to Huibert for his outstanding contributions to Shell, driving our customer value proposition across a range of businesses and geographies, successfully leading the BG integration, and most importantly, for leading the transformation in Downstream, Renewables and Energy Solutions.”
Sawan has been steadily overhauling the integrated oil group's executive committee since he took charge two years ago including reducing its size from nine to seven members.
