Tempus AI Inc (NASDAQ:TEM) shares skyrocketed on Tuesday after the company announced the nationwide launch of its personal health app.
Known as Olivia, the app was designed to centralize patients’ health data and make it accessible and actionable using artificial intelligence, Tempus said in a statement.
“This app goes beyond organizing information; it’s a proactive partner empowering patients to steer their health with confidence and clarity,” chief executive Eric Lefkofsky commented.
Available on both iOS and Android, the app featured health monitoring, data summaries, AI-powered notetaking and capabilities to share information with doctors.
Patients could also query the app on their healthcare records, Tempus noted.
“At Tempus, our goal has always been to improve patient outcomes by harnessing the power of data and AI,” Lefkofsky added.
“Now, as AI becomes increasingly integrated into healthcare, tools like Olivia will be essential in helping patients understand and navigate their care.”
Shares jumped 27.8% to US$44.91 on Tuesday.
