BSF Enterprise PLC (LSE:BSFA), the lab-grown meat specialist, has signed up with Sartorius, a global leader in bioprocess solutions, to form a strategic partnership focused on lab-grown leather.
The collaboration will explore new technologies and methodologies to improve the scalability and cost-effectiveness of lab-grown leather and alternative protein products, said the statement.
As part of the MoU and the partnership, Sartorius will support 3DBT (BSF) with a range of cell culture platforms, technologies, and technical expertise.
Che Connon, managing director of BSF Enterprise, stated: "Partnering with Sartorius is a pivotal moment for us. Their expertise extends beyond bioreactor technology to encompass advanced equipment, innovative software solutions, process optimization, and scaling up.
Shares in BSF jumped 30% to 3.25p.
