Jon Gilligan, COO of Liberty Gold Corp, joined Steve Darling from Proactive at the Vancouver Resources Investment Conference (VRIC). Gilligan provided an update on the company’s Black Pine Project, which hosts a large Carlin-style, sedimentary-hosted oxide gold system located in southeastern Cassia County, southern Idaho.
In mid-2024, Liberty Gold launched a 20,000-meter drill program aimed at expanding its resource base. The program focuses on seven high-priority targets with the goal of significantly enhancing the current resource and unlocking new areas of oxide gold mineralization. One of the key areas of focus is the Rangefront deposit, where step-out drilling is underway. This first phase of feasibility drilling is designed to target zones of open oxide gold mineralization in all directions from the main deposit and to upgrade zones of inferred resources to the indicated category.
Gilligan also shared an update on the Goldstrike project, located in Washington County, southwest Utah, though further details were not discussed during the interview.
