Technology Minerals PLC (LSE:TM1) 48%-owned subsidiary, Recyclus, has completed the recycling of fire-damaged lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery packs from an electric vehicle original equipment manufacturer (OEM).
The batteries were processed at Recyclus’ Wolverhampton facility.
Recyclus dismantled and recycled compromised batteries, which had been affected by a thermal event.
Delivery of this project has highlighted Recyclus’ capabilities in safely handling, transporting, and processing damaged Li-ion batteries at an industrial scale, the company noted.
This is the third new customer landed by Recyclus in January, following agreements with two major automotive companies and a leading online retailer.
