Power Nickel welcomes new vice president of exploration

Power Nickel Inc (TSX-V:PNPN, OTCQB:PNPNF) has announced the appointment of Joe Campbell as vice president of exploration.

Campbell brings over 40 years of expertise in major mining projects, having held roles such as chief geologist in both open pit and underground operations and project manager.

His experience spans advanced exploration in mesothermal and epithermal gold, volcanogenic massive sulphide, porphyry copper-gold-molybdenum, and nickel sulphide and laterite deposits, along with expertise in environmental reviews for mining stakeholders.

“We are ramping up exploration even more in 2025 and we know Joe can help us scale our exploration efforts in an efficient and effective way," Power Nickel CEO Terry Lynch said.

He highlighted Campbell’s leadership at Western Mining's Canadian division for project acquisition, management, and development.

“While not working directly with Power Nickel Director and senior technical advisor Steve Beresford, their Western Mining careers did overlap and the Western Mining approach to exploration and data management has been followed at Power Nickel,” Lynch said. “This was one of the attractions for Dr Beresford when he moved from technical advisor to Board Member.”

Dr Beresford said that Campbell’s addition to Power Nickel will accelerate its exploration success.

"When I joined Power Nickel I felt I could help immediately as I knew with the Western Mining approach that I had been trained under we knew what they had and what they needed,” he said.

Power Nickel said Ken Williamson has chosen to return to geology consulting after advancing the Lion Zone discovery at its Nisk project in Quebec in 2024. The company thanked him for his efforts and wished him the best.
