C3 Metals moves closer to maiden drill program at Khaleesi

C3 Metals Inc (TSX-V:CCCM, OTC:CARCF) announced the completion of a grid-based soil sampling program at its Khaleesi copper-gold project in southern Peru.

The company is awaiting assay results while moving forward with geophysical surveys, which are expected to deliver findings by the end of March.

Dan Symons, C3 CEO, told shareholders that the firm has made “significant progress” at Khaleesi following the signing of a surface access rights agreement with the Cancahuani community.

“The current ground geophysical program is the last step of data collection ahead of a maiden drill program,” Symons said in a statement.

“It is important to note that a significant part of the target area is covered by a thin glacial till, which is flanked by outcropping copper-gold mineralization. The geochemical and geophysical programs are critical for positioning the initial drill holes."

Khaleesi is located in the renowned Andahuaylas-Yauri porphyry-skarn belt, an area recognized for its substantial mineral deposits. Encompassing over 30,000 hectares, the project lies within 45 kilometers of the Las Bambas (MMG) and Constancia (Hudbay Minerals) copper mines.

The company believes the project represents a rare opportunity to explore an undrilled copper-gold mineralized system in one of the world’s most productive mining regions.

Recent work at Khaleesi includes rock chip sampling over a 2,000-meter by 1,000-meter zone, yielding grades as high as 2.82% copper, 6.0 g/t gold, 57.7 g/t silver, and 403 ppm molybdenum. A comprehensive soil sampling program covering 3.3 square kilometers collected 451 samples, targeting areas both exposed and concealed by glacial till, with results pending. The project area also includes an alteration zone exceeding 1,000 meters by 1,500 meters, with confirmed copper-gold mineralization flanking the till layer on its eastern and western edges.

In preparation for drilling, the company secured an additional 200-hectare mineral concession.
