Shares in Futura Medical PLC (AIM:FUM, OTC:FAMDF) rose 5% on Wednesday after the company reported positive results from a sensory study of WSD4000, its gel treatment for female sexual dysfunction.
The study found the majority of women gave favourable feedback, prompting plans for an early feasibility study in the first half of 2025.
WSD4000, targeting a market where up to 50% of women experience symptoms and treatment options are scarce, has received US Food & Drug Administration confirmation for potential over-the-counter status.
Panmure Liberum commented that the company’s progress in expanding its product range reflects partner priorities and supports its growth potential.
The broker says 'buy' up to 131p. The shares were changing hands for 31.59p, up 1.59p.
