Tryptamine Therapeutics Ltd (ASX:TYP, OTC:TYPTF) will present its latest work at Biotech Showcase 2025 in San Francisco this week, a conference that connects private and micro-mid-cap biotechnology companies to life sciences investors.
Tryp was one of 400 companies from across the globe selected to platform its recent findings and progress in front of 3,200 industry leaders and professionals, who collectively manage more than US$400 billion in capital.
Showcasing key assets
At the centre of the company’s presentation will be TRP-8803, a proprietary intravenous (IV)-infused psilocin formulation that addresses key limitations of oral psilocybin.
TRP-8803 enables faster onset of the therapeutic state, typically within 15 minutes, greatly reducing treatment time to one to two hours compared to the eight to 10 hours required for oral alternatives.
Its precision dosing minimises variability in patient response, enhances safety and allows for rapid reversibility in emergencies, making it a commercially scalable solution for neuropsychiatric and chronic conditions.
Strong clinical pipeline
The company will talk participants through its strong clinical pipeline, which includes completed Phase 2a trials using TRP-8802 (oral psilocybin) for binge eating disorder and fibromyalgia, both showing strong clinical benefits, such as an 80% reduction in binge eating episodes and measurable improvements in pain and depression.
The ongoing trial for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) at Massachusetts General Hospital is investigating psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy’s potential to alleviate visceral hypersensitivity and gastrointestinal anxiety.
These studies provide the foundation for transitioning to TRP-8803, which further improves efficacy and patient outcomes.
Additionally, Tryptamine will outline its robust intellectual property portfolio and strategic plans for advancing its pipeline.
Recent milestones include securing provisional patents for using psilocybin in binge eating disorder, fibromyalgia and IBS treatments, alongside scalable manufacturing processes for TRP-8803.
The company will point to current preparations for the first active patient trials using TRP-8803 in Australia, which will help cement its position as a leader in precision neuropsychiatry and will no doubt open the door to new clinical milestones and potential partnerships this year.
