Tantalex Lithium Resources (CSE:TTX, OTC:TTLXF) announced that it has resumed tin exports from its TiTan plant in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
The company said it recently completed its second export, shipping 25 metric tons of tin concentrate from Lubumbashi on December 31.
With plans for a third export in progress, Tantalex is also storing 7 metric tons of tantalum concentrate in Lubumbashi.
Regular monthly exports are expected to begin in 2025, with tantalum concentrate exports anticipated in Q1 2025.
Given the current supply constraints, Tantalex expects to benefit from positive price movements in 2025.
With this favorable pricing environment, the company plans further resource definition work to assess the potential for increasing production capacity in the medium term.
Tantalex is also advancing its evaluation of developments in the lithium market, including a feasibility study for its Manono Lithium Tailings Project and further exploration of its promising Pegmatite Corridor project for hard rock lithium discoveries.
“2024 has certainly been a challenging year for the company as we have struggled to get the TiTan plant into production coupled with a major downturn in the lithium market,” Tantalex CEO Eric Allard said.
“With the successful replacement of critical parts on our TiTan plant during 2024, 2025 promises to be much better for the company with steady production and revenue.”
