Great Boulder Resources Ltd (ASX:GBR) has struck more high-grade gold at the Mulga Bill prospect of the Side Well Gold Project in Western Australia, further extending the deposit to the north by 300 metres.
The results included bonanza gold hits, including 3 metres at 54.33 g/t gold within a broader intersection of 10 metres at 17.22 g/t from 112 metres.
A second result of 1 metre at 30.70 g/t gold within 2 metres at 15.82 g/t gold from 170 metres also reached bonanza-grade status.
The new results will be incorporated into a resource upgrade for Mulga Bill, which already hosts a resource estimate of 568,000 ounces.
Toward development
“These results are from our final reverse circulation (RC) program in 2024, which was designed to add definition to previous high-grade intersections at the northern end of Mulga Bill,” Great Boulder Resources managing director Andrew Paterson said.
“As a result, it’s fantastic to see these really high-grade zones focused around the lithological contact and hosted within west-dipping quartz veins, as predicted by our structural model.
“The team is now incorporating this data into mineralisation wireframes in preparation for an updated resource estimate.
“We are also looking forward to receiving the results of metallurgical test work completed on Mulga Bill samples late last year.
“It’s been a very busy start to the year for Great Boulder, and we anticipate an exciting year ahead as we progress Side Well towards the development phase.”
All systems go
GBR has also intersected gold north of the cross-cutting dyke at Mulga Bill, with mineralisation open and potentially stretching into the Mulga Bill North prospect.
The company expects to provide a strong news flow in the coming months, with metallurgical results from Mulga Bill pending and the data from drilling and a gravity survey at Side Well South expected shortly.
Great Boulder also intends to resume drilling at Mulga Bill later this month.
