Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (ADR) (NYSE:TSM) (TSMC) has reported impressive quarterly sales growth for the October to December period, reinforcing optimism in the tech sector about AI investments heading into 2025.
Revenue for the period was NT$868.5 billion (US$26.3 billion), up 39% from the same period last year, based on the company’s monthly disclosures. This topped Street expectations of NT$854.7 billion.
December revenue was NT$278.16 billion, up 58.8% year-over-year.
TSMC is set to release its quarterly earnings report on January 16, 2025, where it will provide further insights into its performance and financial outlook for 2025.
The company’s market capitalization has nearly doubled over the past year, now approaching $1.1 trillion, reflecting strong investor confidence in its growth prospects. The stock traded up 0.1% at $207 per share late morning on Friday.
