Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) has launched its revamped Model Y in China as it seeks to regain momentum in its second-largest market amid rising competition.
The starting price for the updated model is set at 263,500 yuan (approximately US$35,900), marking a 5.4% increase over the previous model.
Deliveries are expected to commence as early as March 2025, with Tesla also taking orders for the vehicle in other Asian Pacific markets.
Tesla is offering two variants of the Model Y: a long-range all-wheel drive with a range of 447 miles from a single charge and the standard-range rear-wheel drive which has a range of approximately 368 miles.
The new model also features exterior changes, including a Cybertruck-inspired light bar on the front head to replace traditional headlights.
Other new features include seats that can be heated or ventilated and a touchscreen for second-row passengers.
