First Phosphate unveils university research reports on Bégin-Lamarche phosphate zones

First Phosphate Corp. (CSE:PHOS, OTCQB:FRSPF) has announced the publication of two research reports on its Bégin-Lamarche phosphate deposit conducted by Queen's University and Université de Québec à Chicoutimi.

The studies focus on the geological characteristics of the Mountain, North, and South Zones of Bégin-Lamarche, part of Quebec’s Lac-Saint-Jean Anorthositic Suite, the world’s largest anorthosite complex.

The reports examine the mineralogy, petrology, and geochemistry of these zones, offering insights into their potential for supplying lithium ferro phosphate (LFP) batteries, the company said.

First Phosphate believes Quebec's igneous anorthosite phosphate rock to be an underutilized resource of high-purity phosphate, with the potential to be mined and converted into significant quantities of purified phosphoric acid to meet North America's demand for LFP batteries.
