Wishpond Technologies files patient for innovation in AI conversations

Wishpond Technologies Ltd. (TSX-V:WISH, OTCQX:WPNDF) has announced the filing of a non-provisional utility patent for its Enhanced State Manager technology, a feature designed to improve the conversational capabilities of its SalesCloser AI virtual agents.

This innovation aims to enhance the management of complex real-world dialogues by adapting to real-time cues, addressing interruptions, and maintaining continuity through memory of previous interactions, the company said in a statement.

The Enhanced State Manager technology supports customer interactions by leveraging user-defined and system-defined states to ensure tailored and consistent communication.

This capability is expected to be particularly valuable in industries such as customer service and therapy, where maintaining conversational coherence is critical.

Ali Tajskandar, Wishpond’s CEO, said the patent application marked a significant milestone in the company’s innovation journey and reflected its commitment to delivering solutions to help businesses scale up while staying competitive in an evolving market.

“This breakthrough enables our virtual AI agent to handle complex, real-world conversations with a greater level of precision and adaptability,” Tajskandar said.

“By addressing challenges like interruptions and maintaining context across varied scenarios, the enhanced state manager allows businesses to offer seamless, personalized interactions that improve customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.”

Separately, the company announced the resignation of Nick Steeves, Vice President of Partnerships. Steeves, who has been with Wishpond since 2011, played a key role in integrating PersistIQ, a subsidiary acquired in 2021, into the company’s product portfolio.

"We are incredibly grateful to Nick for his leadership and dedication throughout the integration process of PersistIQ,” Tajskandar said.

“His contributions have been invaluable in ensuring a seamless transition and in expanding our product portfolio. With the integration process now successfully completed, we wish Nick all the best in his future endeavors.”
