Seeing Machines showcases a host of driver monitoring tech at CES

Seeing Machines Ltd (AIM:SEE, OTC:SEEMF) is set to unveil its latest driver and occupant monitoring systems at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas this week.

The firm, which specialises in AI-powered safety systems for vehicles, will host demonstrations of its cutting-edge technology at a private suite in the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino, as well as in a specially equipped test car.

Seeing Machines' FOVIO DMS and OMS technology is designed to monitor drivers for signs of fatigue or distraction, helping to prevent accidents and improve road safety.

It says its systems are already integrated into several partner and Tier 1 supplier vehicles, which will also be on display at CES.

The event, which runs until January 10, will also see Seeing Machines showcasing its latest collaboration with Mitsubishi, focusing on how the two firms combine their technologies to open new opportunities in the automotive sector.

Seeing Machines’ Guardian Generation 3 driver-safety software will be featured at Ambarella’s private exhibition during the show.

The company says this advanced system uses Ambarella’s AI chip technology to boost performance for commercial vehicles, making roads safer while helping manufacturers meet tough new safety rules, including regulations in Europe.

In another demonstration, Seeing Machines is integrating its monitoring systems with QNX Cabin software. This partnership enables carmakers to use advanced algorithms to track driver attention and alertness, addressing increasing global regulations aimed at reducing road accidents.

The Canberra-based company has secured contracts for 18 automotive programmes across 11 manufacturers, supported by more than 18 billion kilometres of driving data.

Seeing Machines says it works closely with regulators and safety bodies worldwide to push its mission of eliminating road fatalities entirely.

CES, the world’s largest consumer tech event, remains a key platform for firms like Seeing Machines to attract industry attention and showcase their latest innovations.
