Artemis Resources Ltd (ASX:ARV, AIM:ARV, OTCQB:ARTTF) has appointed seasoned geologist and mining executive Julian Hanna as its new managing director, subject to London Stock Exchange AIM market requirements.
Pivotal to exploration strategy
Hanna, who previously served as senior technical advisor to the company, has been pivotal in shaping Artemis’ exploration strategy and will now lead the company's ambitious 2025 drilling campaign at the Karratha Gold Project in Western Australia.
With a career spanning decades, Hanna has successfully led exploration and mining companies, including Western Areas Ltd and MOD Resources Ltd, driving significant discoveries and establishing long-life mining operations.
“Artemis has a tremendous portfolio of highly prospective assets, particularly at the Karratha Gold Project,” Hanna said. “I look forward to working with the board and management team in this next phase, building on the exceptional groundwork completed in 2024.
Exciting potential
“The upcoming drilling program will target high-priority prospects, including the Carlow deposit extensions, the Marillion EM anomaly, and the Titan gold veins which hold exciting potential for transformative discoveries.
“The recently completed capital raise provides a strong foundation to deliver on these exploration objectives and evaluate new opportunities. I am committed to driving shareholder value and advancing Artemis’ projects to their full potential.”
The company also announced the resignation of executive director George Ventouras, who is leaving to pursue other professional opportunities.
Ventouras played a key role in securing a successful A$4 million capital raise that will fund Artemis’ upcoming exploration activities.
Chair Guy Robertson said: “We are excited to welcome Julian Hanna as managing director. His proven leadership in discovering and developing tier-one mineral deposits will help drive Artemis’ ambitions forward, particularly as we prepare for extensive drilling campaigns.
“We also extend our sincere thanks to George Ventouras for his significant contribution, including his role in last year’s successful capital raise and exploration groundwork. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”
