Global Energy Metals to focus on sustainable growth and electrification in 2025

Global Energy Metals Corp (TSX-V:GEMC) CEO Mitchell Smith outlined the company’s performance in 2024 and its outlook for the year ahead in a shareholder letter.

Smith touched on the progress Global Energy Metals has made in securing strategic partnerships and alliances within the sector over the course of the year, which the CEO believes will lead to long-term success as the world shifts towards clean energy.

"We strongly believe that the foundation we’ve established in providing investment exposure to the growing new energy metals market will be rewarded," Smith wrote.

In the letter, Smith acknowledged the challenges faced by the company over the past year, citing price fluctuations, fierce competition, and geopolitical uncertainties that have had a significant impact on the battery supply chain and the broader mining and junior resource sector.

"While our short-term performance was impacted by these headwinds, I am proud of the resilience and commitment our team demonstrated throughout the year," Smith wrote.

He emphasized the company’s strategic approach, which centers on developing a robust portfolio of new energy metals projects in Canada, Australia, Norway, and the US, aimed at supporting the growing global demand for critical minerals.

Looking ahead, Smith shared an optimistic view for 2025, emphasizing the company’s continued efforts to expand its portfolio and contribute to the electrification movement. "Now is the time to be part of this electrification movement," he wrote.

Global Energy Metals invests in critical minerals essential for battery production and other key technologies.
