Trust Stamp CEO highlights reverse stock split as key step toward growth

T Stamp Inc (NASDAQ:IDAI, EURONEXT:AIID), dba Trust Stamp, CEO Gareth Genner told shareholders it is moving forward with a reverse stock split to position the company for broader investment opportunities.

The reverse split, effective for trading on January 6, 2025, was approved by an overwhelming 96% of shareholders in November.

“The decision is in the long-term interests of the company’s shareholders,” Genner said in a statement, adding that the move aligns with Trust Stamp’s vision for sustainable growth.

The split aims to reset the company’s stock price to appeal to institutional investors and family offices and comply with Nasdaq’s $1 closing bid rule, Trust Stamp said.

The company's stock recently experienced a sharp rise, peaking at $1.20 on December 30, before retracing.

Despite concerns from shareholders about momentum loss, Genner clarified that the reverse split announcement on January 2 was not the cause of the stock's decline.

Looking ahead, Genner expressed confidence in Trust Stamp’s ability to address pressing global challenges, including cybersecurity breaches, deepfakes, and quantum computing risks.

“We believe the company has tremendous opportunities as the global market grapples with the impact of quantum computing, deepfakes, cybersecurity breaches, ransomware attacks, national security considerations, and other challenges that Trust Stamp is positioned to address,” Genner added.

Trust Stamp’s efforts to ensure Nasdaq compliance reflect a broader strategy to strengthen its market position and expand its appeal to a wider range of investors. The company’s commitment to innovation and addressing critical issues in digital security continues to be a focal point as it enters 2025.
