Mountain Valley MD Holdings Inc (CSE:MVMD, OTCQB:MVMDF) (MVMD) has provided a year-end update on its 2024 business progress, focusing on commercialization efforts in nutraceuticals, agriculture, and husbandry animals/aquatic species.
The company’s Quicksome technology, designed to enhance the delivery and efficacy of sublingual nutraceuticals, saw significant advancements. Notable developments include a proprietary formulation for opioid use disorder adjunct therapy and a testosterone enhancement product, both progressing toward trials and testing.
A collaboration with Circadian Wellness has resulted in mushroom-based products incorporating Quicksome technology being launched in the US market, with additional products in development.
Additionally, the company's "Mountains Of..." product line has secured trademark protections, enabling expanded distribution opportunities.
“As our formulators continue to work across different product value propositions, the benefits of the Quicksome technology for dose sparing is particularly evident in the reduction of manufacturing costs, often using up to one-seventh of a target molecule versus what might be used in more traditional orally consumed products,” CEO Dennis Hancock said.
“We believe Quicksome’s dose sparing benefits are becoming increasingly relevant as consumers are more aware and careful about what they put in their bodies.”
In agriculture, MVMD’s licensed Agrarius technology continues to gain traction, with approvals in regions including the EU, Canada, and parts of Latin America, while registrations in additional markets are pending.
Trials in North America under a performance guarantee program demonstrated increased crop yields and plant health, and large-scale product imports to Brazil are in preparation following successful test shipments.
A Panamanian distributor partnership is supporting logistical operations across Latin America, furthering the technology’s commercialization.
“We continue to work hand-in-hand with some of the largest agricultural brands in the world who are effectively working with our agronomists to evaluate the Agrarius product performance across a variety of key crops,” Hancock continued.
“Obtaining the Agrarius registration for Panama in early December 2024 was timely as we look to scale our commercialization success in 2025.”
Meanwhile, in the area of husbandry animals/aquatic species, MVMD’s Quicksol technology has supported the development of Soluvec 1%, a drug formulation initially targeted at aquatic species.
In Bangladesh, the product’s fish feed application has resumed production after disruptions caused by Cyclone Remal, with sales and broader applications anticipated in 2025.
It has filed for patent protection in 12 additional markets outside the US, including Canada, China, and India.
"This has been a significant year for MVMD, and I am pleased with how our team and partners have executed on our strategic objectives,” Hancock said.
“We have significantly advanced the commercialization of our technologies, strengthened our manufacturing and distribution relationships, and expanded our geographic footprint. Our efforts are now translating into marketable products and early initial revenues, and we believe 2025 will be a year of continued growth and meaningful results for our shareholders.”
