Arizona Gold & Silver Inc (TSX-V:AZS, OTCQB:AZASF) CEO Mike Stark joined Proactive to discuss the company’s latest drill results from two key sites at its Philadelphia gold-silver project in Arizona, Red Hills and Rising Fawn.
He highlighted that the drill holes at Red Hills have exceeded expectations with larger-than-anticipated widths, and geologists are optimistic about the findings at Rising Fawn.
Proactive: Last time you and I chatted, you were on site witnessing the beginning of your drill program. Let’s start by talking about the two areas you’re focusing on in this program.
Mike Stark: Very interesting areas. We’re extremely pleased right now. Two holes from the Red Hills project are in the lab. We hit the target and have had several comments from experts reviewing the historical core drilled in 1985 and 1987. They’re seeing similarities, which is encouraging. We’ve also hit the target with larger-than-anticipated widths, which is very exciting.
Switching to Rising Fawn, we’re equally delighted. The geologists are ecstatic about what they’re seeing in the core. True widths are much longer than expected, and we’re pleased with the results.
Tell me about where you are now. You’ve shared the initial holes, but you’re deep into the program with more to come?
Yes, there’s lots more. We have 10 more holes planned at Rising Fawn. One more will be completed before the drillers leave. That will bring the total to seven holes sent to the lab for assay results. It’s tight timing, but we’re optimistic.
You’ve also done some groundwork following geological work in October, correct?
Yes, the hyperspectral imaging was focused on Red Hill. We want to show the scale of this project. It’s not a small target. We’re working on the edges now, but as we move further in, we anticipate even longer intercepts and valuable insights into the source of the materials. There’s also work happening on the eastern section using hyperspectral data, and we have many updates to share in the coming months.
It sounds like 2025 could be a significant year for the company. Is that fair to say?
I couldn’t agree more. Yes, I believe 2025 will set the company up for the next big step forward.
