Ananda Developments PLC (AQSE:ANA), a company developing cannabinoid-based therapies for complex conditions, has announced it is changing its name to Ananda Pharma PLC (effective Dec 23) to reflect its focus on biopharmaceutical drug development.
“This name change confirms our drive to bring licensed cannabinoid medicines to patients,” CEO Melissa Sturgess said.
“We believe the best way to support patients in need and to deliver strong returns to our shareholders is via our continued commitment to the biopharmaceutical drug development pathway. The new name, Ananda Pharma, reflects this ambition.”
The new name will take effect on the AQUIS Stock Exchange from next Monday (Dec 23) at 8 am. The company’s ticker symbol, “ANA,” as well as its ISIN and SEDOL, will remain the same. Ananda has updated its website to www.anandapharma.co.uk to reflect the rebrand.
