Liberty Star Minerals reports high-grade gold assays at Red Rock Canyon

Liberty Star Uranium & Metals Corp. (OTC:LBSR) (dba Liberty Star Minerals) announced assay results from its Red Rock Canyon Gold Project (RRC) in southeast Arizona, reporting high-grade gold findings that could indicate significant commercial potential.

Channel sampling at the project, which lies within the broader Hay Mountain Project, produced standout results, including samples grading 107.5 grams per tonne (g/t) and 60.0 g/t gold, the company said in a statement.

Liberty Star analyzed 95 rock channel samples from gold-bearing jasperoid lenses on the property. About one-third of the samples exceeded 0.5 g/t gold, with 18% surpassing 1 g/t.

Chief Geologist Jim Bryce highlighted two samples as particularly promising, calling the results “an early Christmas present.”

“These exciting results prove to us that mineralization on the RRC project is much wider spread than we, or previous prospectors originally thought,” Bryce said. “Our crew still has more sampling to do, so our hopes are high that we will see continued success in the channeling this spring.”

He noted that mapping and analysis of the high-grade samples suggest the presence of a single gold vein stretching at least 400 feet, though much of it remains obscured by overburden. Further mechanical excavation is planned to confirm the vein’s true dimensions at the surface.

Bryce added that the assay findings align with the geology of the region, which is known for porphyry copper-gold-molybdenum deposits spanning central Arizona to northern Mexico.

Liberty Star said it is integrating the latest assay data into its database and plans to release a detailed update with additional findings in the coming weeks.
