Power Nickel announces first assay results from fall drilling at Lion Zone

Power Nickel Inc (TSX-V:PNPN, OTCQB:PNPNF) has announced the results from the first two holes of its fall drilling campaign at the Lion Zone at its polymetallic Nisk project in Quebec.

One hole showed promising results, including 29.4 meters with 0.5 g/t gold, 12 g/t silver, 1.2% copper, 1.1 g/t palladium, 0.4 g/t platinum, and 0.1% nickel.

Within this, higher-grade intervals were reported, such as 2 meters with 0.6 g/t gold, 14.9 g/t silver, 0.5% copper, 2.7 g/t palladium, 2.3 g/t platinum, and 0.02% nickel.

The second hole did not return significant results, which CEO Terry Lynch said was possibly due to the angle of attack.

He described the Lion Zone as “exceptional” and expressed excitement about upcoming assay results.

“We are all excited to review the next batch of holes which should include 79-82 and our success to the West which will demonstrate that we have locked on a working strategy,” Lynch said.

Ken Williamson, Power Nickel's vice president exploration, added: "Once again Lion Zone is delivering what is expected to be coming out of it.”

“Our level of understanding of the zone, in all perspectives, is increasing at light speed with all new information being incorporated in the mix in almost real-time. This is becoming more and more exciting."
