Pantoro Ltd (ASX:PNR, OTC:PNTOF) has passed a key milestone on finalising a mining agreement with the Ngadju Native Title Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC (NNTAC) covering the Norseman Gold Project in Western Australia.
The finalised mining agreement reflects Pantoro’s commitment to building meaningful partnerships with the traditional custodians of the land and contributing to the Ngadju People and wider Norseman community.
While the majority of tenure at the Norseman Project predates native title requirements, Pantoro has chosen to proactively seek heritage approvals and establish a collaborative framework with the NNTAC.
Responsible and respectful
Pantoro’s managing director Paul Cmrlec said: “This agreement underscores Pantoro’s dedication to responsible and respectful operations in the Norseman region.
"We are proud to work in partnership with the Ngadju People, ensuring that heritage preservation and community development remain central to our activities.
“By voluntarily entering into this agreement, Pantoro reaffirms its commitment to creating lasting value for the Ngadju community while continuing to develop the Norseman Gold Project.
“This is an important milestone for our company and one for which we are very proud.”
Benefits to Ngadju
The mining agreement is the result of more than three years of negotiations, culminating in terms that deliver substantial benefits to the Ngadju people.
Key initiatives include funding for education, cultural awareness programs and conservation efforts, alongside commitments to community engagement, local employment and support for Ngadju businesses.
