Nexe Innovations President Ash Guglani joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce a significant development in the company's collaboration with Bridgehead Coffee, a Canadian-owned business with over 40 years of history. The announcement includes the addition of a second delivery of NEXE's compostable coffee pods to Bridgehead, as well as the signing of a multi-year master manufacturing agreement.
The agreement, spanning an initial two-year term, marks a major milestone for NEXE Innovations, enabling the company to scale its operations and foster growth with both current and future customers. As part of the partnership, Bridgehead has transitioned from compostable soft-bottom coffee pods to NEXE's BPI-certified compostable pods. These fully compostable, single-use beverage pods feature patented technology that increases the filter area, allowing for greater volume per pod and enhanced coffee extraction.
This innovation improves the taste and richness of the coffee, providing a superior experience for consumers. Bridgehead Coffee, known as one of the first coffeehouses in Canada to serve Fairtrade coffee, operates 17 locations in Ontario. The company also partners with major retail and grocery chains such as Costco and Whole Foods Market. This partnership underscores both companies’ shared commitment to sustainable innovation and high-quality coffee solutions.
