Power Nickel Inc (TSX-V:PNPN, OTCQB:PNPNF) reported drilling results confirming the extension of mineralization at the Lion Zone, located within its Nisk project.
The company announced that recent drill holes intercepted mineralized units 125 meters below and 75 meters west of the previously identified area, pushing the depth of the zone down to 600 meters below surface.
One drill hole intercepted seven meters of mineralized geology, while another revealed a wider 13-meter mineralized interval.
The findings suggest the mineralization remains open at depth, according to Power Nickel.
"As we continue our winter drill program at the Lion Zone, the focus has remained on assessing the limits of the Lion Zone along strike and down dip," said CEO Terry Lynch.
"While assays are pending, these results suggest we have not yet found the limits of mineralization. Combined with Hole 80, which tested continuity to the west, we are excited by the progress made so far."
Ken Williamson, vice president of exploration, highlighted the significance of one intersection. "It represents the best of the Lion Zone as we know it now—a wide and thick intersection located precisely in the heart of the plunge.
“Hole 93, our deepest intersection to date, suggests the core zone remains open at depth."
Assays from the recent drilling campaign are expected to provide further insights into the zone's resource quality and extent.
