NEXE Innovations Inc (TSX-V:NEXE, OTC:NEXNF) has deepened its partnership with Canadian coffee chain Bridgehead Coffee by entering into a multi-year master manufacturing agreement.
The two-year agreement will see NEXE supply Bridgehead with its BPI-certified compostable coffee pods, reinforcing their shared commitment to sustainability.
The move builds on an existing relationship and aligns with the rising demand for environmentally friendly solutions in the coffee industry, NEXE president Ash Guglani said in a statement.
“NEXE is proud to strengthen our partnership with Bridgehead Coffee through this multi-year agreement, highlighting the value of our BPI-certified compostable pods and technology,” Guglani said.
“This agreement underscores the growing demand for sustainable solutions in the coffee industry and sets the stage for continued collaboration based on our shared commitment to the environment.”
As part of the partnership, NEXE recently completed a second delivery of coffee pods to Bridgehead.
Bridgehead, known for its dedication to Fairtrade coffee and sustainable practices, has transitioned from soft-bottom compostable pods to NEXE's fully compostable pods. These pods feature patented technology that enhances the coffee experience by increasing filter area, allowing for greater volume per pod and improved extraction, resulting in richer flavor.
Founded over 40 years ago, Bridgehead operates 17 coffeehouses in Ontario and distributes products through retail partners, including Costco, Whole Foods Market, and Farm Boy.
NEXE, based in British Columbia, continues to expand its reach in the sustainable packaging space, using patented innovations to meet the growing demand for eco-friendly solutions in the beverage industry.
