4GLOBAL highlights successful North American expansion in first half

4GLOBAL PLC (AIM:4GBL) highlighted early success in its North American market expansion and a transition to higher-margin products in the AIM-listed data and software company’s interim results.

Revenue in North America grew by 161% in the half, although growth in the region is “still at a nascent stage”, said the group.

Speaking on recent operational successes, chief executive Eloy Mazon stated: "The key achievement in H1 was the strong start we made in shifting our focus to North America, the region where we see the most profitable long-term opportunities.

“The potential for growth in the US is substantial, offering a compelling combination of high data maturity and low penetration of solutions like ours."

“More broadly, we continue to build on the progress made in prior years, delivering on our strategic objectives to achieve scalable growth, operational efficiency, and resilience in a dynamic market.

Gross profit grew by 9% year over year to £1.25 million, supported by a 13-percentage-point increase in the gross profit margin, reaching 73%.

Cash balances also improved, rising by 8% to £290,000.

Total revenue for the period was £1.7 million, a 3% decline year-on-year, attributed to lower sales in the Middle East, although revenue in the core UK market grew by 6% to £800,000.
