Heathrow Airport is preparing for its busiest Christmas season ever, following a record-breaking year to date.
Over 6.5 million passengers passed through the airport in November alone, a record for that month.
Cargo volumes have also risen by 11% compared to 2023, thanks to increased capacity on passenger flights and growing demand.
On Christmas Day, passenger numbers are expected to rise by 21% compared to last year.
November’s traffic figures showed strong growth across most regions, with the Asia-Pacific market rising by 11.6% and Latin America increasing by 20.9%.
Total passenger traffic rose by 6.1% compared to last year.
