Olympio Metals targets copper-gold at Dasserat

Olympio Metals targets copper-gold at Dasserat

Olympio Metals Ltd (ASX:OLY, OTC:COPGF) managing director Sean Delaney speaks with Proactive’s Tylah Tully about the company’s recent confirmation of a 1.2-kilometre copper-gold target at the Dasserat prospect, part of its Dufay Project in Quebec.

The prospect, formerly known as ‘Anomaly G’, was renamed after the local township and has undergone updated modelling of historical data to refine drill targets.

The Dasserat target features high chargeability and low resistivity anomalies, making it a strong candidate for exploration.

Drilling is scheduled to begin on January 25, 2025, following progress in forestry and First Nations approvals.

The Dufay Project is in a prime location near the Cadillac Break, a prolific geological structure hosting more than 100 million ounces of gold, and close to the Galloway Project, which has a 1.4 million-ounce gold equivalent resource.

“If you don’t drill any holes, it’s very difficult to find something,” Delaney emphasised, discussing the importance of this drilling program.

Initial exploration at Dasserat will test the anomaly, which has never been drilled, with plans for further activities across other prospects within the Dufay Project.
