hVIVO signs £11.5M RSV trial contract; expands services at new facility

hVIVO signs £11.5M RSV trial contract; expands services at new facility

hVIVO PLC (AIM:HVO) chief executive Yamin 'Mo' Khan talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company's new £11.5 million contract with a top-tier global pharmaceutical company. The contract, involving an RSV human challenge trial, will utilise hVIVO's advanced facilities in Canary Wharf. Khan highlighted the importance of continued RSV research, even with vaccines available, emphasising the market's potential due to uncertainty about vaccine durability and effectiveness.

Khan also discussed hVIVO's diversification efforts. The company has expanded its laboratory capacity, launched new service lines, and signed contracts across laboratory services, outpatient studies, and patient recruitment. Despite these expansions, Khan affirmed that human challenge trials remain a core business, contributing to the company's strong order book.

Reiterating 2024 revenue guidance of £62 million, Khan expressed confidence in achieving a £100 million revenue target by 2028. He noted challenges in client contract signings but sees positive momentum in the pipeline of opportunities.
