Zero Candida Ltd (TSX-V:ZCT) announced it has received a final patent in South Africa for its therapeutic AI-driven technology designed to treat vulvo-vaginal candidiasis (VVC).
The tampon-like medical device utilizes a controlled blue light therapeutic technology, integrating AI and data transmission for a condition affecting approximately 75% of women worldwide.
It collects and transmits real-time treatment data to physicians via Wi-Fi, enabling personalized and remote care.
Clinical data indicates the device eliminates 99.999% of the Candida fungus overnight without side effects, according to Zero Candida.
The company also has patent applications in the United States, Brazil, and Europe.
CEO Eli Ben Haroosh told shareholders that the company is aiming to hold patents on every continent.
“The company's doctors' team is one of the best in the world in the field of women's health, together with patents around the world, will give the company business strength,” he said in a statement.
Chief technology officer Dr Asher Holzer emphasized the importance of intellectual property in advancing the company’s mission.
"As the company's chief scientist, I find it of utmost importance to obtain a patent for the company's inventions and product development,” Holzer said.
“Zero Candida is a world leader in technology that includes hybrid medicine, and technology-based diagnostics.”
