Hemogenyx passes milestone on way to phase I trial of AML treatment

Hemogenyx Pharmaceuticals PLC (LSE:HEMO, OTC:HOPHF) has successfully completed a key milestone with the site initiation visit at the first clinical centre for its phase I trial of HG-CT-1, also known as HEMO-CAR-T.

This investigational CAR-T therapy aims to treat relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), a hard-to-treat blood cancer.

The phase I trial will use a dose escalation approach to evaluate the therapy’s safety in adult patients. Patient recruitment will begin once the site finalises arrangements with clinical trial management firm Prevail Infoworks.
