Tesla's factory boost, Polestar's growth, and cobalt price trends dominate analyst calls of the week

Electric vehicle company Polestar saw its US-listed shares get a boost earlier this week when Bank of America initiated coverage with a modest Neutral rating, but analysts see the company at a tipping point in its production pipeline.

Its biggest competitor Tesla got a price target increase from the same bank after a favorable factory visit.

And further down the value chain, Bank of America offered a muted outlook for cobalt prices as vehicle manufacturers shift towards other cathode chemistries.
