Kobo Resources Inc. (TSX-V:KRI) CEO Edward Gosselin talked with Proactive's Stephen Gunnion about the company's latest updates at Resourcing Tomorrow 2024. Gosselin shared that Kobo is gearing up for a significant fundraising round in 2025 while continuing its progress on the flagship Kossou Gold Project in Côte d’Ivoire.
The company recently extended mineralisation at the Jagger zone by 250 meters and is actively drilling in the Kadie and Road Cut zones. Gosselin highlighted the company's strategic advantage due to its proximity to established infrastructure, including roads and a nearby power dam. This positions Kobo as a unique player in Côte d’Ivoire's rapidly developing mining sector.
Discussing gold's record-high prices, Gosselin expressed optimism about the project's economics and the potential outcomes, whether through a buyout or advancing their resources further. He emphasised the country’s growing appeal for mining investments, supported by recent developments in its mining code.
