Ananda Developments Plc (AQSE:ANA) has announced significant progress in the stability testing of its MRX1 cannabidiol (CBD) drug candidate.
The evaluation confirmed it maintains its physical, chemical, and microbiological properties under standard conditions, meeting Good Manufacturing Practice standards. This milestone supports its use in upcoming clinical trials.
MRX1 will now proceed to preparatory stages for two phase II trials and one phase I study. The phase II trials will target chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy and endometriosis, while the phase I will assess pharmacokinetics.
"Stability data ensures MRX1 will maintain its intended quality, safety, and efficacy throughout the clinical trial," said Ananda CEO Melissa Sturgess.
"It is not just a regulatory requirement but also critical to the scientific integrity of our studies, ensuring reliable results and protecting participant safety."
