Predictive Discovery extends 800W target at Bankan Project with gold hits up to 41.19 g/t

Predictive Discovery Ltd (ASX:PDI, OTC:PDIYF) has struck strong gold results in resource definition drilling at 800W target of the Bankan Gold Project in Guinea with grades up to 9 metres at 6.17 g/t gold from 42 metres, including a bonanza-grade intersection of 1 metre at 41.19 g/t.

The company is advancing the Bankan Project through its local company Mamou Resources.

Mamou’s most recent exploration efforts extended the known mineralisation at 800W in the NEB area to the northeast along strike and confirmed fresh mineralisation outside the current resource boundary.

PDI will use the new gold results to model a resource estimate, with a maiden mineral resource estimate for 800W targeted for early 2025.

Pipeline of resource estimates

“Drilling results from 800W continue to be positive, confirming potential for a satellite deposit in the NEB area that can add ounces and provide mine planning flexibility with future upside potential,” Predictive Discovery managing director Andrew Pardey said.

“We are now completing resource modelling for 800W and a maiden mineral resource estimate is planned for early 2025.

“Moving forward, PDI’s drilling programs will be focused regionally within the Bankan permits, where the aim is to discover new deposits and maintain a healthy pipeline of exploration targets.

“Maiden mineral resource estimates are also planned for the Fouwagbe and Sounsoun targets at Argo in early 2025, following the additional resource definition drilling which is currently underway.

“Earlier stage regional exploration is continuing at Argo and Bokoro South.”

Best results from 800W drilling include:

  • 5 metres at 7.98 g/t gold from 20 metres, including 2 metres at 18.73 g/t from 20 metres;
  • 5 metres at 5.78 g/t from 33 metres, including 2 metres at 12.07 g/t from 34 metres;
  • 4 metres at 4.90 g/t from 43 metres, including 1 metre at 11.65 g/t from 44 metres; and
  • 3 metres at 4.39 g/t from 6 metres

Positive results have also been received to the south and southwest of the current mineralised zone:

  • 9 metres at 6.17 g/t gold from 42 metres, including 1 metre at 41.19 g/t from 42 metres;
  • 1 metre at 25.06 g/t from 98 metres; and
  • 6 metres at 2.17 g/t from 63 metres.

Summary of targets being explored at Bankan.

SB drilling

At the SB target area, south of the main NEB deposit within the broad multi-kilometre N-S deformation corridor which hosts NEB and extends north to the Argo permit, additional exploration drilling has been completed in the northern part of the target area.

This was following up positive intercepts of 19 metres at 2.04 g/t from 83 metres and 15 metres at 8.05 g/t from 105 metres.

Only minor significant intercepts were recorded in the latest drilling, indicating the area exhibits significant structural complexity.

Regional exploration focus

Predictive says the 800W target remains open to the northeast for further exploration in the direction of the Gbengbeden deposit.

The company believes drilling in the southern part of the target area has potential to further expand the mineralised zone.

In the near term, PDI’s drilling efforts will be focused on regional areas.

The company continues to pursue resource development drilling at Sounsoun to infill the central part of the east-west shear zone and further test the broader target area to the southwest.

Drilling will then move back to Fouwagbe to infill the drill pattern around existing holes and test extensions and other target areas before maiden mineral resource estimates can be produced for both prospects.
