Zscaler Inc. (NASDAQ:ZS) after Monday’s closing bell reported earnings for the fiscal first quarter of 2025 which topped Street estimates.
The cloud-based cybersecurity firm reported a 26% year-over-year increase in revenue to $628 million, ahead of estimates of $605.6 million.
Earnings per share (EPS) of $0.77 marked an improvement from $0.55 in the year-ago quarter and comfortably beat forecasts of $0.63.
For the fiscal second quarter, Zscaler projected revenue of $633 million to $635 million and EPS between $0.68 to $0.69, compared to Street estimates of $631.5 million and $0.68, respectively.
“Growing customer engagements and strong sales execution drove a solid Q1 with all metrics exceeding our guidance,” Zscaler CEO Jay Chaudhry said in a statement.
“The combination of Zero Trust and AI is creating exciting new opportunities, which we are well positioned to capture with our large and expanding platform.”
The company’s strong performance, however, failed to meet investors’ high expectations which saw shares of Zscaler trading down 7.1% at about $194 post-earnings.
