Sintana Energy hails appraisal well results from Mopane

Sintana Energy Inc (TSX-V:SEI, OTCQB:SEUSF) has hailed results from drilling of the Mopane-1A appraisal well in the PEL 83 licence off the coast of Namibia.

Joint venture partners Galp and Custos, in which Sintana owns a 49% indirect interest, reported the well had been successfully drilled, cored and logged between October 23 and November 28, Sintana highlighted.

This showed light oil and gas condensate in high-quality reservoir-bearing sands, indicating high permeabilities and pressures, Sintana pointed out.

“The quality and scale of the Mopane complex continue to be demonstrated with this successful appraisal,” Sintana chief executive Robert Bose commented.

Two exploration wells had previously been drilled, with the appraisal confirming the extension and quality of Mopane AVO-1 reservoir, which lies in Namibia’s Orange Basin.

“We look forward to the exploration and appraisal activities anticipated in 2025 to further unveil the potential of Mopane,” Bose added.
