Valereum PLC (AQSE:VLRM, OTC:VBLXF) has appointed Carmen Elena Ochoa as Head of El Salvador for Valereum’s tokenised securities and digital assets marketplace VLRM Markets.
Ochoa, who is a lawyer with expertise in traditional financial systems and digital assets, brings over ten years of experience in the financial services and regulated markets sectors to her new role.
Her experience includes work with El Salvador’s financial regulatory body, the Superintendencia del Sistema Financiero (SSF), and the Comisión Nacional de Activos Digitales (CNAD), which governs digital assets in the country.
In her new position, Ochoa will focus on driving VLRM Markets’ strategic initiatives in El Salvador. This will include fostering innovation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and expanding the company’s presence in the region.
