Power Nickel Inc (TSX-V:PNPN, OTCQB:PNPNF) has announced the appointment of Jon Christian (JC) Evensen as a strategic advisor to support the company’s ongoing growth and development.
Evensen will provide guidance on strategic transactions, capital markets, and optimizing the value of Power Nickel’s assets for shareholders.
He brings more than a decade of expertise in investment banking and management within the natural resources sector, Power Nickel highlighted.
Evensen has held several prominent roles, including serving on the board of Patriot Battery Metals, advising Pallas Resources, leading Low Carbon Royalties and Eucalyptus Resources, and overseeing over $1 billion in metals and mining investments at Luminus Management, alongside prior experience at Millennium and Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS).
The appointment comes as Power Nickel progresses its flagship Nisk project, a polymetallic discovery in Quebec, bolstered by the recent Lion Zone findings.
"As the company looks forward from an exciting 2024 where the Lion Zone discovery turned the Nisk project into a globally significant polymetallic discovery towards 2025, Power Nickel is excited to work with JC to realize the full potential of the Nisk project and progress it forward for the benefit of all stakeholders,” Power Nickel CEO Terry Lynch said.
Evensen expressed excitement about working with the Power Nickel team to advance the Lion discovery.
“From prior experience with discoveries in Quebec, and working with Steve Beresford at Altai Resources, a daughter company of Pallas Resources, this is the right zip code, the right shareholders, the right commodities, the right geology, and hopefully the right scale for something special as the western world looks to where the foundational building blocks of our world will come from in the 21st century,” Evensen said.
