Ariana Resources PLC (AIM:AAU) has unearthed new discoveries at its Dokwe project in Zimbabwe.
Today, the company revealed that soil sampling and pXRF analysis at the Dokwe South area uncovered a quartz vein breccia, with preliminary rock-chip sampling returning significant silver values. Of 22 samples, with seven recorded over 10.0g/t silver and a peak of 35.2g/t silver.
These results indicate further potential for mineralization in the area, Ariana said.
Also, the company has launched a regional pXRF soil sampling program, designed to cover the entire 42 square kilometres of the claims area.
Advanced plans are meanwhile in place for regional exploration and resource infill drilling, with the aim of expanding the project's resource base.
The proximity of all prospects to the future Dokwe processing plant, located within seven kilometres, adds to the development prospects, it highlighted.
"Our recent exploration work across the Dokwe Project is already yielding positive results which is continuing to build on the exploration upside of this opportunity,” managing director Dr Kerim Sener said in a statement.
“Work undertaken near Dokwe North and Central has identified the potential for resource blue sky and the broader prospectivity of the project area has increased following the exploration results outlined here.
“We look forward to updating the market as we develop our work at the Dokwe Project."
