NEXE Innovations Inc (TSX-V:NEXE, OTC:NEXNF) announced that it has made a delivery to Bridgehead Coffee, which has transitioned to NEXE’s BPI-certified compostable coffee pods.
NEXE's initial delivery to Bridgehead includes two SKUs from their coffee line.
Bridgehead had previously offered compostable soft-bottom coffee pods to its customers, according to a statement from NEXE.
One of the first coffeehouses in Canada to serve Fairtrade coffee, Brdigehead operates 17 coffeehouses in Ontario and is a wholesale partner with major retailers, including Costco, Whole Foods Market, Sobey’s and Farm Boy.
"NEXE is excited to partner with Bridgehead, not only to provide what we believe is a superior compostable coffee pod solution but also to leverage their well-established customer distribution channels, expanding the reach of our innovative products to a broader audience,” NEXE president Ash Guglani commented.
"The teams are working closely to build a successful long-term partnership and create a more sustainable future in the North American coffee industry."
NEXE Innovations develops patented compostable materials, including the BPI-certified NEXE Pod, a durable and sustainable alternative to plastic coffee pods compatible with major brewers, produced in its North American facility.
