Polymetals Resources Ltd (ASX:POL) executive chairman Dave Sproule joins Proactive’s Tylah Tully to discuss the company’s recently announced exploration update for the Endeavor Project in central NSW.
Near-mine exploration focuses on the Carpark Prospect, a potential southern extension of the Endeavor orebody.
Drilling at Carpark is set to begin in January 2025, aiming to investigate whether a coincident IP chargeable and EM conductive anomaly indicates a massive sulphide body and potential supergene mineralisation.
Earlier drilling identified broad zones of lead and zinc mineralisation, with geophysical surveys supporting the presence of deeper sulphide sources.
Polymetals has also consolidated more than 50 years of historical exploration data, enabling a comprehensive review of copper, gold and silver-lead-zinc targets.
Regional exploration across its 1,107-square-kilometre exploration licences will commence next quarter, including an 18-kilometre induced polarisation (IP) survey and geological mapping. These activities aim to refine targets for subsequent drilling.
Nine near-mine targets and 18 regional prospects, including No. 4 Tank, have been identified for further assessment.
The company anticipates ramping up exploration efforts across its portfolio as redevelopment of the Endeavor Mine progresses.
