RC365 Holding streamlines operations, reduces losses in first half

RC365 Holding PLC (LSE:RCGH) highlighted a raft of operational advancements alongside an improved post-tax loss in the six months ending 30 September.

The London-listed group issued 891 new payment cards in the first half, bringing the to-date total to over 1,500.

RC365 also progressed toward virtual banking capabilities, obtaining a Money Lenders Licence in Hong Kong and advancing the RC3.0 App with features set to launch in early 2025.

Additionally, RC365 made strides in Japan and Malaysia, doubling its corporate customer base in the former and strengthening IT operations with a HK$700,000 (£71,500) grant in the latter.

Group-wide revenue came to HK$6.1 million (£623,200), representing a 10% year-on-year decline, attributed to varied geographic revenue contributions.

However, a significant reduction in post-tax loss to HK$7.4 million, compared to HK$34.90 million in the prior year, underscored cost-control measures and improved asset performance.

Chief executive Chi Kit (Michael) LAW stated: "We are pleased to have continued executing on our growth strategy during the first half of our 2025 financial year.

"We have made excellent progress with our card programmes, with over 1,500 issued to date, and in growing our customer base in Japan, which is a key growth market for RC365.

“We also took important steps to enable us to expand our offering into virtual banking – most notably gaining a Money Lenders Licence in Hong Kong.

"We are excited to launch these new services as well as our upgraded RC3.0 App in the coming months, and we look forward to reporting on our progress."

Post-period, RC365 finalised the cash-generative divestiture of RCPAY Limited in Hong Kong for HK$400,000.

Cash and cash equivalents totalled HK$16.3 million as of 30 September, down from HK$19.3 million at the start of the period.
